Purpose of this position
Channel Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, engaging and following-up offline and digital marketing activities through selected channel partners that drive partner-led initiatives in support of achieving India market's annual sales & marketing objectives and goals.
Cross-functional collaboration and alignment with sales, channel management and marketing is an important component of this role.
Channel refers to authorized reseller partners including distributors, integrators, traders, site specific partners, machine tool makers (MTM), machine tool distributors (MTD) and other designated sales channels.
Main responsibilities
Support the execution of Sandvik Coromant Channel Marketing strategy (To-Through-For) in the SA/Market
Plan, engage and measure offline and digital marketing activities through partner led initiatives that support achievement of India’s annual sales and marketing plans
Work cross-functionally with Channel Managers, Sales, Marketing and select channel partners in the planning and execution of co-branding channel marketing engagement activities
Coordinate and collaborate directly with channel partner marketing contacts to introduce channel marketing offer and support a higher level of partnership engagement in co-branding and digital marketing planning and activities.
Support co-branding, email and social marketing, web/online, flyers, brochures and other digital marketing activities. Carry out planned monthly campaigns with cohesion across all products and platforms.
Coordinate with ecommerce channel partners to drive online, co-branding promotion of Sandvik Coromant products through delivery of enhanced content fulfillment in support of online sales
Coordinate monthly channel partner e-newsletter delivery to drive communication and awareness of Sandvik Coromant products, services and information
Manage, maintain and promote the use of the Channel Partner Portal in support of providing a self-service, online solution for channel partner to access relevant marketing, sales and partnership information
Learn/implement branding guidelines in Channel marketing initiatives and provide guidance to stay on brand
Required qualification and skills
Strong marketing, sales and business understanding
Industrial distribution relations knowledge and/or experience
Digital marketing experience and/or education
Project management skills and experience
Proven ability to work cross-functional
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Marketo automation software experience a plus
Experience in handling demands and challenges presented by partner/reseller relationships
Results driven and self-motivator
User knowledge of adobe creative suite a plus (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Your background and profile
For this position, we’re looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering results and managing change and relationships. You’re skilled in project management and experienced in Sales and Marketing planning, preferably with partners or third parties, and you’re skilled in educating partners on benefits and measurements. You also have the business knowledge to support our business results and continuous improvement. As you’re expected to adapt content for different channels, you need to be quite strong in creative design, and you communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. Experience in an international company with a complex multi-cultural matrix environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of marketing automation
- Office 365 (Dynamics, Excel) and applications in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
