About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Electrical Technician who will play a critical part in maintaining and enhancing the performance and reliability of Sandvik equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and operational excellence. Acting as a key liaison between Sandvik and its customers, you will provide high-quality technical support and service that reinforces our reputation for innovation and reliability.
Your responsibilities will include performing inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and commissioning of Sandvik mining equipment and systems, including hydraulic, electrical, and automation components. You will also contribute to product improvements and collaborate with regional technical teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on major assemblies and components.
- Carry out installations of electrical components on new equipment to meet customer specifications.
- Perform software updates on equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Actively participate in ongoing learning for new and emerging equipment and technologies
- Assist with new equipment, pre-deliveries and on-site commissioning.
- Carry out inspections and audits as required to meet Sandvik, and the customer’s needs.
About you:
You are a skilled and safety-conscious professional with a strong technical background in electrical systems for heavy equipment. You hold a relevant trade or tertiary qualification and have proven ability in diagnosing electrical systems, performing software installations, and working with CAN bus controls. You are highly computer literate, capable of producing clear and detailed reports, and demonstrate flexibility, self-motivation, and initiative in everything you do. A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail is second nature to you, and you are comfortable working independently or as part of a team. A current driver’s license and willingness to work on customer sites are essential, and experience with Sandvik equipment and knowledge of mine health and safety regulations will be highly regarded.
