Senior Delivery Practice Leader (Agile, Lean, DevOps)

About your job

Sandvik Mining Division’s IT organization is looking for a Senior Delivery Practice Leader to strengthen and harmonize our delivery ways of working across the organization. As a hands‑on servant leader, you will continuously evolve the Sandvik Mining Operating Model to ensure reliable, high‑quality, and fast delivery that supports long‑term business success.

The position is full-time, permanent and located preferable is Tampere (Myllypuro), Finland. Other location options are Stockholm, Sweden and Dublin, Ireland.

Your daily responsibilities

In this role, you will own and develop our delivery practices - including DevOps, Agile, and hybrid models - and serve as the primary subject‑matter expert for teams and programs. You will define, document, standardize, and promote best‑practice delivery methods that enable predictable outcomes, sustainable delivery speed, and high quality.

You ensure consistent application of delivery practices across teams, improving transparency, alignment, and governance without compromising local ownership. You will also translate these practices into our tooling ecosystem (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow) to enhance flow efficiency and data‑driven follow‑up.

You will establish structured capacity and resource‑planning practices to support better prioritization and delivery predictability. Using delivery performance metrics, you will lead continuous improvement and drive measurable practice enhancements.

You will provide leadership with clear, fact‑based insights into delivery maturity, key risks, bottlenecks, and the most impactful improvement opportunities.

Your background & what can you bring to our team?

We are seeking a senior professional with strong expertise in Agile, Lean, and DevOps, backed by hands‑on experience in complex, multi‑team delivery environments. You have a solid background in process‑oriented organizations and ideally experience supporting process improvements within ERP environments.

You bring proven capability in designing and applying scalable delivery frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) in a practical, outcome‑driven manner. You are experienced with enterprise delivery tooling and know how to leverage tools effectively in day‑to‑day delivery and performance follow‑up.

You are comfortable working with delivery metrics, translating data into meaningful insights, and turning them into actionable improvements. You have a demonstrated ability to drive change in federated or matrix organizations, influencing across functions without formal authority.

A continuous improvement mindset, strong analytical abilities, and experience working in cross‑functional, process‑based setups are essential. Typically, you have several years of experience in delivery leadership, program management, or transformation roles.
