Job Purpose:
We are looking for a highly skilled SAP Senior Functional Expert – Trade Compliance (GTS) to join our global ERP transformation within IT Delivery organization. In this role, you will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP GTS solutions supporting export controls, customs compliance, and global trade processes.
You will collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional IT teams to implement SAP best practices, support ongoing S/4HANA transformation projects and high-performing solutions for global trade compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Functional Leadership
- Lead as the functional expert across SAP GTS modules:
- Compliance Management
- Customs Management
- Risk Management
- Design and implement end-to-end enhancements, upgrades, and new capabilities within SAP GTS.
- Translate business trade compliance requirements into scalable SAP solutions aligned with global architecture.
- Ensure solutions follow SAP best practices and promote unified, global end‑to‑end processes.
Collaboration & Business Engagement
- Engage directly with business stakeholders to understand needs in export controls, import regulations, customs processes, and sanctions screening.
- Partner with legal, logistics, finance, and supply chain teams to maintain ongoing trade compliance system accuracy.
- Work closely with IT leads, architects, and application experts to ensure smooth integration with SD, MM, FI, LE, and external systems.
Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Support ongoing S/4HANA transformation initiatives involving GTS and cross-functional workflows.
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement across the global landscape.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, automation, and innovations in global trade compliance.
Governance & Regulatory Alignment
- Stay updated with evolving global trade laws, export control regulations, and sanctioned party updates.
- Ensure SAP GTS solutions maintain full compliance with new regulatory requirements.
- Document functional designs, test scenarios, training materials, and solution knowledge.
Delivery & Operational Support
- Lead or contribute to full lifecycle project delivery—requirements, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live support.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and support global users in resolving trade compliance and customs-related challenges.
Qualifications:
Requirements to educational background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields with 9+ yrs of hands on experience.
- SAP GTS Certification or equivalent expertise is highly valued.
Requirements to working experience:
Must have
- Strong industry background in manufacturing, mining, engineering, or related sectors.
- Strong experience in SAP GTS across Compliance, Customs, and Risk Management modules.
- Expertise in designing and implementing trade compliance solutions in large, global environments.
- Hands-on experience in S/4HANA GTS projects (mandatory).
Good to have :
- Broad knowledge of SAP ecosystem and integration with:
- Sales & Distribution (SD)
- Finance (FI)
- Materials Management (MM)
- Logistics Execution (LE)
- Other connected applications
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and modern delivery practices.
