We are now recruiting for a Process Lead – Production Management (Equipment) (Hybrid) - a permanent role in our organisation. This is a role reporting to the Director Seamless Flow Program. The position is based in Tampere or Turku, Finland or Zeltweg, Austria. The organisation seeks to drive performance excellence through process improvement and delivering on desired business outcomes across all E2E processes.

Job purpose

The Process Lead manages and continuously improves Sandvik Mining processes, driving alignment with divisions, while optimizing design and solutions to enhance customer satisfaction, ensure compliance, and/or increase efficiency. With curiosity about technology, they work closely with the E2E process owner, E2E Solution Architect and E2E IT Delivery Manager, and lead a dedicated process team with both business process and technical expertise to support the work to be done. The Process Lead collaborates with individuals from the divisions to form a virtual process team.

This is a management position with direct report responsibility for multiple Process Specialists and indirect report responsibility for other resources allocated to work on the Process Team. The role combines process expertise with leadership accountability to influence change and deliver measurable business outcomes. The role is critical to driving changes to the current way of working and achieving business adoption of those changes.

Main responsibilities

  • Works with other Process Leads, functional leaders and E2E process owner to ensure E2E processes are optimised to achieve desired business outcomes
  • Lead the implementation of new ways of working within the Process area
  • Manages the development roadmap, aligning with divisions
  • Accountable for process documentation for common and shared processes.
  • Accountable for business process incident / problem resolution for the process area
  • Defines data attributes and ensures data quality for the process area
  • Drive the adoption of AI to support achievement of desired business outcomes
  • Validates and analyzes new incoming continuous improvements.
  • Makes design decisions for the process area; decides on the final process design.
  • Lead and develop a team of Process Specialists and virtual contributors
  • Balances demands across Programs, Projects, Continuous Improvement and Run
  • Determines resourcing need for the Process Team, based on organisational needs
  • Represents the process group in relevant governance and steering forums
  • Ensures end users are supported through training and ‘how to’ structures

Your background

You are a highly motivated, delivery focused leader with superb interpersonal skills and a passion for excellence. You have a positive outlook, a can-do attitude and thrive on working in a multi-cultural team environment. You have experience leading and managing complex Business process activities in large scale and / or multinational environments. You have a strong working knowledge of the process areas covered by this role and are capable of joining the dots and anticipating challenges or roadblocks.

You have demonstrated an ability to lead diverse teams and influence senior stakeholders across business and IT. You have highly developed stakeholder management, influencing and negotiating skills. You are adept at challenging the status quo and aligning business stakeholders to achieve optimal business solutions in a positive way. You have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. You are highly organised, with good planning and people management skills. Prior experience with agile methodology is advantageous.
