Training Content Designer

At our Underground Drilling division, we are looking for a skilled and creative Training Content Designer to develop high-quality digital learning solutions. In this role, you will translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging training materials that drive technical competence, reinforce safety and support digital readiness. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product and training teams to ensure the materials align with our goals for intelligent drilling automation and a digitalized product offering. This is a permanent position based in Tampere (Myllypuro), Finland.

Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy’s Tampere site is a global technology and manufacturing center for Underground Drilling equipment.
Your mission
As a Training Content Designer, your mission is to transform complex technical knowledge into clear, engaging learning content that empowers operators and service teams. You will develop training materials that strengthen safety practices, build technical competence, and prepare users for automation and simulation technologies. Through close collaboration across teams and regions, you will help shape the future of underground mining through impactful, high-quality learning experiences.
Your main responsibilities
- Create structured, technically accurate and engaging training materials (power points, videos, e-learnings, learning paths, bit sized-learning content etc.) for underground drill rig models
- Translate complex engineering concepts into accessible learning modules that support operator and technician competence
- Maintain consistency and accuracy across all training materials by adhering to the centralized content library guidelines
- Review and update materials in collaboration with technical experts and product specialists
- Work closely with product managers, technical specialists and training facilitators to align content with product updates and field requirements
- Gather feedback from trainers and learners to refine and enhance training materials
- Contribute to innovation in training formats, including eLearning, VR and mobile-based modules
Your background and what we find important
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering (preferably in automation, electrics, or mining technology) might be good but not must have
- Knowledge of Articulate 360, Photoshop, Rise 360, AI and language translation tools is seen as an advantage
- Experience with Platform Management - Workday and Adobe learning
- Knowledge of Sandvik/Constructions rigs is a plus
- Skilled in reading technical drawings
- Good presentation, collaboration and communication skills and able to work independently
- Positive and energetic mindset - you enjoy working in an international business environment
- Fluent in English; other languages are a bonus
