Production Operator
Buffalo Tungsten, a leading manufacturer and global supplier of high purity tungsten powder is hiring a 2nd Shift Production Operator. As a production operator you will operate machinery and equipment to produce tungsten metal powder.
Second Shift runs from 4pm to 12am (midnight). You will work a six day on, two day off work schedule. Days off rotate each week over an 8-week cycle. For example, one week you have Saturday and Sunday off, the next week Sunday and Monday, then Monday and Tuesday, etc. Starting Pay: $19.25/hour
Responsibilities:
Report for all assigned shifts
Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment
Measure precisely and keep accurate records
Monitor production conditions such as temperature and gas flows
Operate a forklift to move material around the plant, load and unload trucks and equipment
Complete work orders and requests in a timely fashion
Pack material and prepare for shipment
Adhere to safety policies and procedures
Maintain a clean work area
Qualifications:
No experience necessary - training provided
Previous experience in production, manufacturing or other related fields is beneficial
Requires standing or walking most of shift
Regularly lift and handle up to 20 pounds throughout your shift
Able to lift up to 60 pounds periodically over short distances
High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred
