In this episode of the podcast Meet Sandvik you will get to know Nina Åxman, Head of Global Operations at Sandvik Rock Tools. In fierce competition with hundreds of other leadership talents in Sweden she was recently awarded the title “The Female Leader of the Future 2020” by the Swedish executive organization Ledarna.

“I take some extra pleasure from the fact that it shines a light on leadership in an engineering and technology driven industry like ours,” she says.

Visible role models, explaining how safe and nice industrial workplaces are today and showing the variety of roles and competencies needed – that´s just a few ways to better attract people from the whole talent pool, according to Nina Åxman.

“We must walk the talk every day, if we don´t get that right we will miss out on our employees engagement and innovation capabilities,” she adds.
