Background and scope of the project
Digital development enables a lot of opportunities in creating transparency and efficiency gains throughout the lifecycle of our robust products. We are constantly improving our digital assistant, SAM, with new user-centric solutions. One of the potentials we are looking at is digital process twins to support our customers with equipment performance predictions and operational recommendations and optimizations.
We want to investigate a real-time digital aggregate/mineral processing twin that combines our extensive process knowledge built into our process simulation software Plant Designer with the strengths of our condition monitoring system and digital platform itself to create user value.
The scope of this thesis project is to investigate different persona user needs, what values we can create for those personas and what is required o achieve this state. We would like the result of the project to reflect the future vision of a digital processing twin but also with a proposed minimum viable product for industrialization.
We expect the work to be driven independently, with support from several key departments such as, Product management, Lifecycle optimization and Digital development center.
You will get the opportunity to interview key stakeholders in our global organization in order build understanding of the user needs, potential challenges, and opportunities.
We are preferably looking for a master student in engineering, mathematics or data with an interest and experience of business development and digital offerings.
We are looking for a collaborative, innovative and transparent person with good communicational skills, an open mind and with a passion to win!
Understanding and experience in production processes, industrial management and heavy industry is advantageous.
Duration of project
The thesis project is expected to last 20 weeks, starting January 10, 2022 or according to a mutually agreed starting date.
The location for this thesis project is flexible. However, some travel to our head office in Svedala – just outside of Malmö, will be needed. If you are already living in Skåne, that is preferred.
Please note that we, unfortunately, do not have the possibility to support you with accommodation in Svedala for long-term stay.
