The division Stationary Crushing in Svedala is a manufacturer of machines, spare and wear parts for the mining and infrastructure industry.
Work description
In this master thesis, you look at the possibility to further use the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system M3 in our daily use for:
- ABC classification of the items used in the production of our products
- System generated/calculated safety stock
ABC classification:
The ABC classification consists of a concept for the classification of the items, possibly linked to our aftermarket company, plus an implementation into our ERP system where they can be automatically updated.
System generated safety stock:
Based on the ABC classification along with a potential differentiated service level based upon the classification we would like to see if it’s possible to implement a system generated/calculated safety stock within our ERP system.
The master thesis will be hosted at our site in Svedala where our crushers, spare and wear parts are manufactured.
Duration of project
The project is ongoing for the length of the Master Thesis course.
