Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) is in search of a highly motivated and experienced Regional Commercial Manager in the mining sector to lead our efforts in the EMEA region (Europe, West & Central Africa, and the Middle East). This role will be instrumental in shaping and executing the commercial strategy for the Ground Support Product within the mining industry.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Regional Commercial Manager will drive business growth and profitability by optimizing commercial strategies across pricing, supporting quoting or tender process, drive the introduction of SV transfer pricing policy and supervise it. Key responsibilities include overseeing contract negotiations, monitoring contract performance, leading profitability initiatives, analyzing contract lots and find improvement, controlling calendar tracking for all the tender in the territory and ensuring legal compliance. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting strategic decisions with data-driven insights while developing a team to support the Mining sector.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for driving margin improvement through pricing optimization and cost management, supporting negotiations and execution of commercial contracts, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms and policies. You will collaborate with legal, finance, and operations to ensure effective contract execution, monitor contract performance, and lead initiatives to optimize pricing and financial processes. This role requires strong financial acumen and the ability to provide data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Contract administration and performance monitoring, renewals, amendments, and dispute resolution
  • Commercial processes governance around pricing, contract management, service, and rebate analysis
  • Support and coordinate implementation of commercial tools like pricing management tool
  • Coordinate and manage work for pricing activities to support data-driven decisions.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a university degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting, or business management, with additional qualifications like controller certifications considered a plus.

With over 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis and business support, ideally in the mining industry or heavy sector, you will bring strong controlling and accounting skills. You should be proficient in Excel modeling and business tools like OneStream, Power BI, and other MS tools, and have a solid business acumen.

We seek a strategic thinker with a hands-on problem-solving attitude who can communicate financial information clearly to diverse audiences. You will collaborate closely with sales, legal, and finance teams, providing essential business partnering support. The role demands attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency in English (C1 level or higher) is required.
