The Role

The Parts Sales and Service Representative is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships while collaborating with the internal sales and marketing teams to maximize Parts and Service sales and identify new opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing the customer’s total potential for parts and services

  • Training and coaching internal and external customer personnel in Sandvik Parts planning and ordering.

  • Facilitating customers’ selection and ordering of parts.

  • Assessing customer’s equipment performance and reliability via parts availability and service effectiveness to ultimately reduce operational costs for the customer.

  • Developing a sales and service plan for designated accounts or territory

  • Developing customer relationships that ensure customers remain loyal to Sandvik brands.

  • Liaising between customers and Sandvik to ensure all warranty claims are settled in a timely fashion and are fast-tracked as much as possible.

  • Assessing technical issues with all Sandvik products and preparing/submitting quotations for small to medium expenditures for the Account Manager

  • Assisting with site dissemination of bulletins and alerts for all Sandvik products.

  • Liaising with the factory to stay abreast with product development plus knowledge transfer back to the factory of customer requirements and trends.

  • Traveling to customer sites and partnering with customers to provide solutions with respect to aftermarket parts and service with written reports.

  • Coordinating product trials and testing as required to further expand the business value of premium products, premium services, and competitive prices.

  • Monitoring parts usage patterns and liaising with inventory controllers to ensure appropriate stock levels and stocked items.

  • Conducting monthly reviews of account status including but not limited to DSO and revenue.

  • Updating all fleet data in the CRM/installed base system.

  • Any other related job assigned by the Sales Manager/Senior PSSR

Qualification

  • Degree in Engineering or rich Trade background in Mechanical/Electrical disciplines with mining and sales experience.

  • minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications; "Familiarity with Power BI and Excel is a valuable asset for analyzing and visualizing data effectively in this role."

  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.

  • Excellent Sales, Communication, and Presentation skills are required.

  • Possess a minimum valid driver’s license ‘B’.
