Seco Tools is seeking a proven, experienced sales leader for a Regional Sales Manager role. The ideal location for this role will be someone who lives in the Cleveland, OH to Pittsburgh, PA Greater Metro Area. This Regional Sales Manager role is for the Eastern Great Lakes Region of the United States, consisting of Eastern Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Western New York. The role requires working independently from a home office with 50-70% travel in your assigned region.
This is a mid-level sales leadership position requiring validated experience in sales, sales team leadership/management, problem resolution, and channel partner and end user customer selling models. The “right” sales leader will lead all aspects of a regional sales organization of 5-8 sales professionals and an Independent Manufacturers Representative in a competitive, fast-growing marketplace. This role requires building strategic plans for territory growth, leading, mentor and developing the sales team to achieve sales growth goals in the channel and end user customer accounts. Knowledge of the Aerospace industry and large account business development experience is essential. Industry related experience in the manufacturing, metalworking, tooling and/or production environment is a plus!
Role Requirements
The role requires a self-directed, results-oriented sales leader with strong technical proficiency and strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills including the ability to analyze, plan and lead at strategic levels. Success requires expertise in leading, coaching, and mentoring a sales team, driving sales performance and accountability and optimizing customer development, retention and account saturation to continue our growth strategy. (50-70% travel in assigned region required.)
- 85% - Sales Leadership & Customer Development – Select, lead, and run the sales team to assure sales growth through distribution channel and end user account development. Mentor, train and support sales team through education, joint sales calls, solution development and problem resolution to develop new business and retain accounts. Develop, support, and maintain business relationships with Distribution and end user customers to optimize and advance sales growth.
- 15% - Strategy, Planning, & Sales Administration – Develop, track, and report regional and territory sales plans, goals, and budgets.
Top Performers
Top performers will possess a minimum of 8-10 years of proven sales leadership and industrial B2B sales experience in the metalworking, manufacturing or distribution sales environment and experience working independently from a home office / virtual environment in a regional territory management role.
