Currently we have an opening for a Warehouse Technician. The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the shipment, receipt, and the distribution of materials in a timely manner.

What you will be doing

  • Ensure received parts orders are verified as complete, accurate and free of damage.
  • Ensure the timely flow of materials from the warehouse to the shop when needed.
  • Prepare completed jobs for shipping and deliver to the warehouse.
  • Keep the staging area clean and organized.
  • Operate Forklift safely to pick and stage products for job execution.
  • Help to draw up, monitor, and improve practical work instructions for the staging area.
  • Forward inventory errors to the Warehouse Supervisor with the aim of correcting in a timely manner.
  • Maintain professional knowledge with the aim of maximizing one’s own professional knowledge and applying it in an optimum manner within the organization.
  • Receive, verify, document and stage new equipment spare parts crates and rims.
  • General clean up.
  • Run errands if required.

Environmental Health and Safety

  • Comply with safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and / or near misses. Perform risk assessments (“Take Five”) prior to each task.
  • Maintain orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.
  • Attend Environmental, Health and Safety related trainings.
  • Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) assigned for each task.

What you will bring along

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of warehouse or inventory experience.
  • Experience in mining operations is considered an asset.
  • Experience operating a forklift is required.
  • Experience using computerized inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team.
  • Detail-oriented with good time management and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
