Qualifications

· Ability to follow instructions and strict attention to detail is required.

· Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.

· Ability to read and understand both metric and imperial dimensions.

· Ensure that parts meet required specifications and quality to ensure proper and safe function of equipment once installed.

· Well organized and be able to track and maintain lists of parts that have been inspected.

· Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal, with both colleagues and suppliers.

· Ability to use and accurately read micrometers and calipers (digital and analog).

· Ability to use and accurately read multimeters.

· Ability to use hand tools – hammers, screw drivers, wrenches, feeler gauges, etc.

· Ability to use pressurized air system – engraver, air regulators for temperature sensor testing.

· Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office programs – Word, Excel & PowerPoint as well as Outlook for email.

· Be able to lift 50 lbs.

· Safety conscious. Steel toes shoes need to be worn around the inspection area. Additionally, safety glasses and gloves need to be worn at other times during some inspection processes.

· Familiarity with explosion proof mining equipment is a plus.

· Associates degree or equivalent field experience (3+ yrs) preferred.

Responsibilities

· Recognize quality systems (ISO9001) and standards.

· Follow existing inspection protocols and conduct pertinent inventory inspections.

· Manage and track Logistics Process System protocols for damaged/missing/incorrectly manufactured parts or components for both WIP inventory and Sales inventory.

· Conduct periodic inspections and create/upload reports for each inspection on all major overhauls conducted on site.

· Interface with divisional quality control to fully adopt criteria, implement, and conduct QC processes for all gearcase repairs conducted on site.

· Participate as required in the inspection of repaired or new components as supplied to the workshop from local vendor or factory.

· Follow all EHS programs on site, and divisional quality standards.

· Work closely with engineering team for effective communication on addressing quality concerns and transfer of pertinent documentation.

· Work closely with procurement on addressing unsatisfactory goods/services and vendor development.

· Minimal <25% travel may be required.>
