Key Performance Areas
The Order Management Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production orders in accordance with the production plans and commitments to our customers, both internal and external. The goal of the Planner is to meet these commitments while focusing on our delivery Key Performance Indicators of Stock Availability, Delivery Precision, Delivery Accuracy, Supply Lead Time & Total Manufacturing Time in the most efficient manner possible.
Typical responsibilities for the Order Management Planner at Westminster Round Tools would be:
- Manage production stock inventory to ensure maximum efficiency while maintaining sufficient stock to support demand and customer needs. This includes forecasting, planning, and purchasing of production stock materials, setting, and maintaining stock parameters, receiving, and issuing of materials and auditing inventory.
- Case management in Dynamics 365 for order follow-up and/or expedite requests as necessary. Notify customer service of changes to the delivery of orders re-committed via the Dynamics 365 database.
- Communicate effectively with Customer Service, Planning, Sales, Methods, and Production Management.
- Communicate daily with the production area team, releasing and planning production orders in a timely manner to meet agreed production plans and commitments to our customers.
- Maintain optimal WIP levels necessary for meeting demand while also watching for bottlenecks at key work centers. Take necessary actions to maintain continual product flow.
- Communicate to Management capacity issues, as necessary.
- Maintain capacities in Capacity Planning system.
- Update expected delivery dates for orders in production.
- Provide production data statistics and reports as needed.
- Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
Candidate’s Profile
Preferred Skills:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role and/or experience in a manufacturing production area.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Power BI experience would be exceptional advantage.
- Understanding of basic planning principles.
- Good data analysis and reporting skills.
- Strong focus on detail and accuracy.
- General knowledge of the production processes.
- Having an agile mindset to increase flexibility.
