Electro-Mechanical Technician

  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to accurately assemble electromechanical systems.

  • Assemble electrical and mechanical components, subassemblies, and modules according to established guidelines, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.

  • Install, torque, terminate, solder, connectorize, and route wiring and cables, ensuring proper connections and adherence to standards.

  • Perform quality checks at various stages of assembly to identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications, and take corrective actions as needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and technicians, to address assembly challenges, suggest improvements, and enhance product designs.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including proper handling and storage of components, tools, and materials.

  • Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of assembled systems to verify functionality and identify and resolve issues.

  • Document assembly processes, procedures, and any deviations encountered during production.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize assembly procedures, enhance product quality, and streamline production processes.

  • Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and fellow team members.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing process enhancements to optimize productivity and quality.

  • Assist in training and mentoring new assemblers, providing guidance on assembly techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.

  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or production issues to the appropriate personnel.

  • Follow established procedures for documentation, including completing assembly records, inspection reports, and quality assurance forms.
