The role
Due to expansion, we are currently looking for light vehicle mechanics and HD Fitters to join our busy Workshop team in Kalgoorlie. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a range of specialised mining equipment, their subcomponents and their hydraulic, electrical and automation systems.
Other duties may include:
General workshop duties;
Fault diagnosis;
Pre-delivery; and
Rebuild on all mobile and fixed machines and components
Your profile
Mechanical Trade Certification (LV Mechanic applications welcome)
Experience maintaining underground mobile equipment is desirable
Strong and proven safety culture
Strong customer service focus and motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals
You will be proactive, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer literacy
Driver’s License
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing
