Business Unit Automation has end-to-end responsibility for product management, new product development, product marketing, manufacturing, supply chain and technical sales support for Automation in mining and construction industries. To strengthen our training and competence development team, we are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Trainer to educate people in a technological field. This position is based in Tampere and reports to the Training and Competence Development Manager.

Your responsibilities

Your main responsibility is to execute technical trainings for Business Unit Automation in English. Trainings will be at our Tampere site or on-site in our global customers facilities.

The other duties are:

  • Scheduling trainings and determining course content according to Business Unit’s objectives
  • Preparing and developing training material e.g. presentations, worksheets
  • Continuously developing modern training techniques and tools e.g. eLearning, simulators, virtual technologies and hands-on training kits
  • Evaluating results and effectiveness of training programs and making improvements based on results

Your skills and qualifications

You have a suitable technical degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) and previous experience as a technical trainer role and knowledge of modern training techniques and tools. You preferably have a knowledge of Automation, Electrics or Communication network. Experience in the heavy machinery and/or mining and construction business is highly valued. We expect you to be an excellent communicator, able to explain complex subjects in a clear and interesting way. You have a passion to excellent customer service and you can easily establish and maintain good contact network with your natural teamwork skills. You are curious to learn all the time, new products, solutions, processes and IT tools – lifelong learning is your key motivator. As we operate in the international business fluency in English (both written and verbal) is mandatory.
