Canada Warehousing Supervisor

Currently we have an opening for a Canada Warehousing Supervisor. The Canada Warehousing Supervisor is responsible for supervision of warehouse employees at Sandvik warehouse facilities across Canada, to ensure work is completed in compliance with company quality and safety standards within area of responsibility.

What you will be doing

  • Participates as part of the warehouse team to implement initiatives.
  • Assigns duties to Warehouse Technicians to meet operational requirements of the business and delivery dates for customers.
  • Ensures that all Warehouse Technicians have acceptable coverage for their areas and that schedules are created and communicated (including holiday coverage).
  • Approves all time and attendance administration relating to holidays and on-call coverage.
  • Act as the first point of contact for system or procedural issues from the warehouse group; and if needed communicates these issues to IT or CWoW group.
  • Assists with the implementation, set up, onboarding of new warehouse facilities and technicians.
  • Drives continuous improvement to the team’s overall warehouse excellence including development of improved processes.
  • Remains focused on safety issues and works closely with parts group management and EHS to ensure a safe working environment across the sales area.
  • Coaches, motivates, trains, evaluates, and leads team members to accomplish the goals and objectives of the business.
  • Manages the performance and ensures compliance with company policies for all warehouse personnel under their direction and that of their Manager.
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned by Manager.

What you will bring along

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a related atmosphere
  • Ability to build sound relationships with all departments and internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations
  • Strong and supportive leadership skills
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness for travel
  • Strong active listening skills
  • Flexible and self-motivated with demonstrated initiative
  • Developed time management and organizational skills
  • Computer literacy
