At Seco Tools, we believe in providing the best customer experience around. Reporting to the Director of Customer Experience, this manager will be a key contributor to enabling that experience. As the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager, you translate business plans to inventory requirements in our global S&OP process; handling demand planning and inventory planning, as well as making sure that we optimize the balance between service and cost. This position can be done remote and we are comfortable hiring someone between Metro Detroit to Cincinnati, Ohio.

Specific responsibilities

  • Creates procedures for logistics management to optimize delivery flow and minimize cost.

  • Responsible for managing our North American warehouse relationship, stock balancing/replenishment and inventory control.

  • Collaborate with colleagues around the world to scale successful supply chain, forecasting and rebalancing processes to have the needed stock in all distribution centers.

  • Work collaboratively with the Sales, Operations, and the Customer Experience team to ensure that customer expectations are accurately set, that communication is kept open, and that critical issues are resolved in a professional and proactive manner.

  • Manage local delivery pipeline, scheduling volumes, and actively set individual and team targets.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Supply chain management experience (e.g., fulfillment, distribution, logistics, procurement, supplier management, delivery service, demand planning, forecasting, etc.).

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and as a team leader.

  • Deep understanding of first to last mile delivery, with ability to develop processes to efficiently lead customer communication and expectations.

  • Ability to influence at all levels – this role interacts with many people and organizations globally.

  • 5+ years of domestic and/or global logistics/transportation experience.

  • 5+ years Leadership experience in a de-centralized global company.

  • 5+ years in working with distribution centers with a full understanding of supply chain logistics.

  • Previous experience working with the major delivery carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, etc.) also a plus.
