Supply Chain Manager

Key performance areas
Manage and oversee the supply chain operation, including purchasing and inventory of materials as well as selection of vendors. Makes recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. Coordinate and resolve issues regarding existing and new products. Interact with vendors to ensure that all requirements are being met. Interact regularly with internal customers (production, maintenance, engineering, finance, etc).
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for
- Negotiation of pricing and vendor contracts
- Researching new products for purchase, including special sourcing of raw materials
- Using the ERP System and Reporting Tools to track orders, confirm dates, cutting purchase orders, communicating with vendors on taxable and non - taxable items
- Quarterly review of history and updating of safety stock levels
- Manage our ASL (Approved Supplier List) per ISO Standards
- Manage Sandvik Spend Database
- Regularly communicate with vendors about order status and/or expedites
- Collection and Documentation for Precious Metals Reclaim with Salvage Vendors
- Conflict Mineral Reporting per ISO Standards
- Setting up new Raw Material parts in our ERP System and modifying when needed
- Other duties as assigned by Site Manager and/or Controller
- Direct and support Continuous Improvement Activities
Additional required competencies
Experience in supply chain management. Must have strong computer skills; good with numbers; organized & detail oriented; excellent communication skills dealing with Engineering, Production Control, Product Managers, Shipping & Finance; Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of others.
You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (10 or more years of work experience in field). You balance multiple priorities with ease while always delivering excellent results. You react well to change and are flexible and comfortable working in an ever-changing environment with a variety of contacts. You are a strong team player with experience in leading and motivating others. Your excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and cultural awareness skills enable you to perform well in a multi-cultural team environment. You operate under the mindset of continuous improvement and are always looking for ways to improve the teams and projects you are a part of. You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
