The Global Sourcing department within Division Rock Tools, manages and coordinates all sourcing activities world-wide, such as category strategies and its execution both on global and regional level. Here, we promote and drive overall purchasing performance to support the lowest possible landed product costing. We also lead transformative change efforts for sustainability where we are all committed to reduce both CO2 emissions and increase our circularity for our Rock Tools supplier, products and assortment globally.
In this position, you’re responsible for managing sourcing of indirect suppliers within certain categories to support Division Rock Tools, and you assist in the implementation of both local and regional category strategies and execution across our division mainly for Sweden. You’re accountable for defining and achieving performance for the appointed categories and targets through leveraging cost of ownership levels, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the organization and collaboration with key stakeholders. In this role you will also work cross functional through a National Procurement Collaboration forum, collaborating with all Swedish Sandvik business units and entities for the appointed categories you are responsible for.
You lead our improvement initiatives, as well as manage and coordinate sourcing activities within the local team and together you increase pre-requisites for the downstream purchasing performance. Leading and participating in Supplier Relationship Management activities are parts of your mission and to raise awareness for Sandvik’s commitment for sustainability improvements. You’re also accountable for market analysis, risk assessments and supplier selections where we assess the needs and negotiate, implement and sign the contracts for our selected supplier base. In collaboration with your colleagues, you ensure best-in-class sourcing and to reach the performance targets through cooperating will all key stakeholders such as Product Management, Services, R&D and all related functions within our Global Operations and production in Sweden.
You think ahead, dare to challenge the status quo, with the ability to lead and drive progress together with others. Preferably, you have previous experience in Real Estate & Facility Management, IT and digital development, Professional Services and Human Resources. You have several years of experience within strategic sourcing and indirect purchasing, as well as experience from working in a global matrix organization and managing cross-functional teams and complex products and services with a passion to support the Sustainability work Sandvik has committed to. Your background also includes evaluation of suppliers, leading negotiations, securing contracts and delivering results with a strong track record. As we work in an international setting, beside fluent skills in Swedish, you also communicate effortlessly in English, both verbally and in writing.
