The role

As a Technical Sales Representative for Terelions drilling consumables, the primary goal is to drive sales by providing our customers with the best possible solutions that meet their specific needs while also delivering on our business lines' profitability and sales targets.

To achieve this, you will utilize a fact-based approach that emphasizes the value of Terelions offerings and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach. By highlighting the unique benefits and advantages of our products, you will be able to showcase to our customers why Terelion is the best choice for their drilling consumables needs.

In addition to servicing our current customer base, you will actively seek out new customers to expand Terelions reach and increase our market share. By building strong relationships with our customers and understanding their specific requirements, you will be able to recommend customized solutions that fit their unique needs and ultimately lead to increased sales for Terelion. Overall, your approach will be focused on delivering exceptional customer value while meeting our business objectives and driving sales growth for Terelions drilling consumables.

We have two positions for recruitment, one based in Newcastle, NSW and Mackay, Qld.

Areas of responsibility

  • Responsible for achievement of budgeted revenue
  • Responsible for price quality for Rock Tools sales
  • Develop a Sales plan and strategies for designated territory and/or set of customers
  • Develop sales opportunities for Drilling consumables within the defined territory or set of customers.
  • Work as part of the account management team for local or global accounts to identify customer sales opportunities.
  • Liaise between Customers and Terelion to ensure all issues are settled in a timely manner,
  • Provide the Company with regular status reports on business activities, opportunity development and overall satisfaction of the Customers base (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Provide the Company with updated information relating to Equipment Population employed at both customers and non-customer’s sites, including competitor activity and market share updates
  • Ensure CRM/ Salesforce and sales Tools is up to date with valid cases and customer visit reports
  • Create Sales Tools Case and update Sales Tools to won/ loss status.

Your profile

You will have a well-developed understanding of the mining industry and associated equipment that is essential for success in this role. With over 5 years of active involvement in Rock Tools, concentrating on Rotary bit and related product sales, and have gained an in-depth understanding of customer business processes and their unique needs. Safety is of utmost importance in the mining industry, you are well-versed in Mine Health and Safety Regulations, with a strong grasp of the requirements for mine visits and person safety in an operating mine environment.

Additionally, possess the initiative, drive, and determination needed to achieve goals and targets set for customer satisfaction. You are highly skilled in measuring customer satisfaction and demonstrating actions related to specific customer requirements, with highly developed time management and organizational skills enable to efficiently manage my workload, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising on quality.
