The role

We are seeking a skilled, proactive and experienced Technical Product Sales Specialist to join our team based in QLD, the ideal candidate can be located in Brisbane, Mackay, Townsville, Mt Isa. The role will work closely with customers & service team to provide specific knowledge aimed at increasing productivity, identifying aftermarket sales opportunities within a defined customer region and recognize current and new business opportunities as well as sales development.

This role is a full-time requirement, however Sandvik recognises the desire for flexible working options. Flexible employment arrangements include condensed working weeks, working from home, flexible start/finish times, etc.

Areas of responsibility

  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to internal and external customers about Sandvik products and service.
  • Supporting and managing a sales territory defined by the Sales Managers.
  • Create business development plans and targets in collaboration with Sales Managers.
  • Conduct market analysis including data coordination, research, and design engineering to assist with the development of new product offerings and presenting competitive analysis information to the Sales Team.
  • Work alongside the Sales Team to identify long and short-term goals and ensure that product priorities are in alignment with Company goals.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of plans and actions in accordance with global and regional initiatives and guidelines.
  • Work closely with customers to provide process improvement advise and support on relevant applications.
  • Seek new customer opportunities by utilizing Sandvik break-in offerings.
  • Provide internal stakeholders with regular status reports on business activities, opportunity development and overall satisfaction of customer base, while recognizing aftermarket opportunities and issues and act as the liaison with customer through to completion.
  • Provide accurate and insightful reporting on CRM for all visits and meetings.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with excellent customer relations and active listening skills, Strong written and verbal communications. You can utilize assigned resources and networks to achieve or exceed planned outcomes, while a high focus on achieving outcomes and driving results. The right Candidate will ideally have some exposure to the mining and construction industry. Crushing & screening equipment is an advantage. Sales Experience, Mechanical Trade, Leadership or Project Management Certification will look favored upon. Additionally, you must have a valid driver’s license and a right to work in this location to apply for this job.
