Sandvik currently has an exciting opportunity for a Surface Service and Support Manager. The Surface Service and Support Manager is a newly created potion which forms part of the newly combined Parts and Services organisation.
Reporting to the Customer Service and Support Manager, the Surface Service and Support Manager is responsible for a high level of customer support by developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships through effective sales management. With an emphasis on business development in the market, the role enables effective collaboration and forecasting of parts and services to support customers through their equipment lifecycle.
Lead the Service and Support Team in the development of pipeline sales in the mining market with commercial responsibility of the overall revenue result.
Through participation in Management Teams, develop and enhance the overall relationship with Customers that lead to constructive and profitable business partnerships.
Involvement with compilation of tenders and long-term contracts.
Lead the development and drafting of Parts and Service contract and tender scope of works.
Collaborate with Sales Representatives, Account Managers and Operations Managers on recommended actions to grow and maintain our business and provide closer customer support in the mining market.
Provide significant input into the rolling strategic plans for continued expansion of revenue within Sales Area Australia and New Zealand.
Ensure the effective management of sales pipeline opportunities for proactive financial forecasting through the opportunity process in the Sandvik Customer Relationship Management system ‘CRM’.
A Tertiary Education, (or working towards) in Business Management, Marketing, Project Management and/or a Technical Trade qualification. Also, demonstrated experience in technical sales in the mining industry along with leading a sales team in the mining industry would be highly regarded.
You have a well-developed understanding of customers that operate in the mining industry and highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and negotiate with customers at a senior decision-making level. Finally, you will bring your demonstrated ability to engage, influence and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders to deliver results.
