The role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sales Engineer to join our busy team based in Perth. The Sales Engineer will drive sales by bringing the best of Sandvik’s offerings to meet customer requirements and deliver on business profitability and sales targets.

As the Sales Engineer you will promote fact-based value for Sandvik’s offering and TCO approach to drive customer value while also actively developing current customer relationships and seeking new customers to join Sandvik.

This role is a full-time position, however Sandvik recognises the desire for flexible working options.

Areas of responsibility

  • Developing sales plans and strategies for a designated territory and/or set of customers

  • Proactively developing sales opportunities for Crushing & Screening

  • Responsible for achievement of key sales KPI’s as visits and sales targets across multiple product offerings

  • Produce mechanical design models and drawings that satisfy defined requirements within specified time frames advantageous

  • Prepare designs that account for design for manufacture, assembly, and cost.

  • Well-developed commercial acumen including dealing with terms and conditions.

  • Manage contacts, leads, and opportunities within Salesforce CRM.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a strong experience in value selling, possess an excellent ability to foster and develop customer relationships and demonstrate strong active listening skills alongside written and verbal communications. You have the ability to utilize assigned resources and networks to achieve or exceed planned outcomes, while a high focus on achieving outcomes and driving results.

Experience within the mining &/or Construction industry OR exposure to crushing & screening equipment maintenance is desirable. Mechanical Trade, Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering certification is desirable. Additionally, you must have a valid driver’s license and a right to work in this location to apply for this job.
