Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions is looking for a Global Key Customer Manager, Barrick (Location Flexible)

The location for this position is flexible providing your location is logical to properly service and grow the account. This position will report into the Sales Area VP of the hosting country.

As the Global Key Customer Manager, you ensure that the customer’s strategic requirements and our business’ value proposition align, and you make sure that Sandvik’s offering, value proposition and business operations cooperate and deliver value to both parties.

Your mission – enhancing long term customer relationships to ensure a high market share

As the Global Key Customer Manager, you ensure that the customer’s strategic requirements and our business’ value proposition align, and you make sure that Sandvik’s offering, value proposition and business operations cooperate and deliver value to both parties.

Your main responsibilities include following ‘the Sandvik Way’ in all dealings internally and externally and overseeing the business growth and development for selected customers. You act as a Sandvik ambassador, mentoring and coaching other customer managers to drive best practices across our company.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop close relationships with Sandvik Mining and Rock Solution’s different divisions and sales areas by aligning sales business plans with customer interactions
  • Managing projects and collaborations to enhancing long term customer relationships at all levels
  • Ensuring continued understanding of the customer’s value chain and business drivers
  • Tracking and reporting sales and profitability by division and site
  • Overseeing contract implementation, ownership and management to ensure contract deliverables
  • Arranging customer account reviews
  • Reporting and managing relationship health at all sites
  • Enhancing leadership through the development and implementation of a customer strategy
  • Assuring continued connection and communication with global teams to share market and customer intelligence

Location: Western US/Flexible

Your profile

We are looking for someone with business planning experience, and a track record of increasing customer loyalty and technology partnership opportunities, a people-person with outstanding business acumen and superior customer focus. You also have excellent commercial skills, including pricing, contract drafting and contract interpretation, and a background from working in a matrix environment.

To succeed in this role, you also need to have industry knowledge and the ability to learn technical details, as well as a solid financial understanding. You have experience using modern CRM systems, and as we operate on the global stage, it’s important that you have an international background and that your verbal and written English skills are advanced.
