Field Sales Engineer – East Midlands

We are looking for a Field Sales Engineer – East Midlands

Key performance areas
As a Field Sales Engineer you will develop the sales and profitability within a designated geographical area (East Midlands).

This will be achieved by utilising all sales channels (direct, distribution and integration). You will be expected to deliver year on year sales growth.

The role will require you to perform the following tasks: Prospecting, sales calls, product training, customer support/analysis, process/product recommendations, documented cost savings and CRM management.

You will be responsible for maintaining and developing new and existing customers. You will drive continuous improvement activities within customers through improvement of existing methods/procedures and development of new machining techniques and cutting strategies.

Your profile
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of both manufacturing processes and the application of cutting tools. You will ideally have experience of working with 5 axis machine centers.

We are looking for an independent, self-directed and results orientated candidate with a strong engineering background, obtained through on the job exposure or relevant apprenticeship. You are a confident speaker in front of internal and external groups, analytical, able to compile clear plans, persuasive with good interpersonal skills, innovative, creative and a good team player.

You will ideally have a HNC or HND in production/mechanical engineering and a full and clean driving license.
