Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Sales Specialist to join our team based in NSW (Sydney, Newcastle or NSW Tablelands). The Technical Sales Specialist will work closely with customers to provide specific knowledge aimed at increasing productivity, identifying aftermarket sales opportunities within a defined customer region and recognize current and new business opportunities as well as sales development.

This role is a full-time position, however Sandvik recognises the desire for flexible working options. Flexible employment arrangements include condensed working weeks, working from home, flexible start/finish times, etc.

Areas of responsibility

  • Provides sales support which include providing leads, assisting on sales calls, making presentations, providing training and competitive intelligence to the Sales Managers, Lifecycle Manager and Sales Representatives

  • Creates business development plans and targets for the product range in collaboration with the Sales Managers and Lifecycle Manager

  • Coordinates data from the market for analysis, research and design engineering for the successful development of new product offerings, while preparing and presenting competitive analysis information, comparisons and sales argumentation to the Lifecycle Manager

  • Participates in the Lifecycle Management team to develop and implement plans and actions in accordance with global and regional initiatives and guidelines

  • Works with customer to provide process improvement on specific applications

  • Coordinates with sales team to identify long and short-term regional goals and ensure that product priorities are in alignment with Company goals

  • Seek new customer opportunities by utilizing Sandvik break-in offerings, while maintaining accurate customer records as prescribed by the Company

  • Provides internal stakeholders with regular status reports on business activities, opportunity development and overall satisfaction of customer base, while recognizing aftermarket opportunities and issues and act as the liaison with customer through to completion.

  • Provide accurate and insightful reporting on CRM for all visits and meetings.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with excellent customer relations and active listening skills, Strong written and verbal communications. You have the ability to utilize assigned resources and networks to achieve or exceed planned outcomes, while a high focus on achieving outcomes and driving results.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the mining &/or Construction industry OR Minimum of 5 year’s exposure to crushing & screening equipment maintenance is an advantage. Mechanical Trade, Leadership or Project Management Certification will look favored upon. Additionally, you must have a valid driver’s license and a right to work in this location to apply for this job.
