We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician to join our new, state of the art workshop in Kenwick. The main focus of this role will be to carry out general high voltage electrical duties, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis on Sandvik equipment whiles maintaining availability and minimising costs.
Install, repair, inspect and commission products and equipment of different kind at customer site or own premises.
Perform fault diagnosis, machine assembly, maintenance and repair work on Sandvik’s range of mining equipment, both underground and surface, ensuring Site and SMC Safety and
Repairs and maintenance to workshop equipment.
Perform repair and fault finding using electrical schematics.
Assessment, Overhaul and Repair of Flameproof enclosures to AS3800.
Installation and testing of Intrinsically Safe circuits to AS2381.7.
Responsible for plan, conduct and maintain tools and equipment for service work.
Report and document results after above actions.
Support the customer’s product/equipment/processes by suggesting possible improvements.
Provide technical support to the sales team.
Provide problem solving to customer.
Abide by Safety and Environmental guidelines, Australian standards, and contractual requirements.
Relevant trade qualification (Electrical)
AS3800 accreditation/experience would be advantageous.
Strong customer service attitude as well as a drive and determination to achieve targets and goals.
Some basic mechanical knowledge would be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to positively influence others
Computer literacy with Microsoft suite and ERP’s
The right to work in Australia
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing
