Scope:

  • Responsible for Sandvik Coromant Digital Machining sales strategy execution in SASEA
  • Develop Digital Business opportunities according to set objectives and strategies for SASEA
  • Drive the Digital sales in cooperation with existing sales resources and channels
  • With a consultative sales profile understand customers' diverse, specific business needs and applying product and solution knowledge to meet those needs
  • Leverage on our existing strategic partnerships within Digital Machining and identify new ones
  • Lead negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making process, and overcome objections to closure to close sales in a timely manner
  • Secure that commercial terms are within set targets and that we deliver in line with customer expectations and agreement
  • Identify new areas where our Digital Business can create value for customers and Sandvik Coromant
  • Communicate our Digital vision internally and externally and show that we are an authority in this area

Key Performance areas:

Sales Management activities:

  • Create and execute a Digital sales plan within responsible sales area/segment
  • Develop Digital Business opportunities according to set objectives and strategies
  • With a consultative sales profile understand customers' diverse, specific business needs and applying product and solution knowledge to meet those needs
  • Drive the Digital sales in cooperation with Digital Solution Architects and existing sales resources and channels
  • Prepare and present formal proposals to executive levels of organizations
  • Leverage on our existing strategic partnerships within Digital Machining and introduce new ones
  • Lead negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making process, and overcome objections to closure to close sales in a timely manner
  • Secure that commercial terms are within set targets and that we deliver in line with customer expectations and agreement
  • Identify new areas where our Digital Business can create value for customers and Sandvik Coromant
  • Communicate our Digital vision internally and externally
  • Provide market and customer feedback into Digital Business in order to enhance the offer, business models and GTM strategy

People management activities:

  • Manage employee’s performance and results
  • Ensure that any newly hired employees in this area are properly on-boarded, trained, motivated and rewarded
  • Cascade goals and objectives for employees; monitor results against these objectives and provide appropriate feedback
  • Coach and provide on the job training and development

Other Management activities:

  • Provide senior management with accurate and timely market information for customers, distributors and competitors.
  • Drive and apply Sandvik Core Values and Code of Conduct in all business and personal dealings, drive team to adopt and apply the Safety first culture and Core Values at all times.

Experience:

  • Technical and / or Business Management Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience
  • Strong Sales and Business Development experience from areas like software, Cloud, IT services, M2M, IoT
  • Experience in driving value based sales processes
  • Experience in doing business in an eco-system environment
  • Experience in developing C-level relationships
  • Good knowledge in project management
  • Proven history of meeting and exceeding quota
  • Knowledge of applications and production technology in machining industry and the principles of machining economics
  • Understanding and utilization of Sandvik Coromant Business Tools and Concepts such as Productivity Improvement Program, Productivity Analyzer, Customer Value File, Manufacturing Economics, Selling Higher and etc.
