Our EMEA sales team is a group of highly diverse and experienced individuals spread over our sales territory. We all take pride in our excellent customer service and ensure that we are continuously developing new business (i.e. new customers or new applications) in line with our company strategy. The EMEA sales territory boasts potential for growth, and we are now looking for a Field Sales Engineer for this important region who can be mobile within the sales area to maintain and develop the business with enthusiasm.

Job summary

As a Field Sales Engineer, you are responsible for identifying and fostering new customers and applications for our products, as well as for developing existing customers. You will identify market and customer requirements through market presence, customer interaction and a keen ear for our customers’ needs.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with ~5–10 years of sales experience within an engineering industry or as an application engineer within product management, and, preferably, with an engineering degree and/or master’s degree in business or marketing. You have good knowledge of steel and experience in value-based sales. By continuously developing our sales approach and value selling, you will grow the company by hunting new business in current and new applications and segments. At the same time, you will build and maintain relationships with existing key customers to support their future growth as well as ours. To be successful in this role, you must be fluent in German and English, and another European language is a plus.

The right personality is key here, and should be result-oriented with a passion for finding new applications and solutions for customers. You are driven, have good technical aptitude and a structured way of working, making it easy for you to own your plans and successfully carry them out. As an important part of this role is bringing potential customers, solutions and products into the company to see if these can be solved, you need to be a relationship builder with great collaborative skills, and someone who strives to share knowledge and solutions. You can engage people and have them commit to projects and plans. Frequent travel (~65%) within the region is part of your job.
