As Design Automation Engineer, you’re responsible for development of product configurations and design programs for all product families within Sandvik Coromant. An important aspect to gain success in this role is continuous development of both your own knowledge and the organizations – aiming at capturing and developing new ideas and applying them in a way that adds value to the business. You’re an important resource in the team as you share skills and best practices within internal networks, and review and improve methods within your own area of expertise. Supporting colleagues in professional growth is also key, since this increases the knowledge level of the whole department and thereby our ability to deliver – leading to operational development and excellence. You work with many different points of contact, and you thrive on connecting with people on all levels of the business.

We’re looking for someone with a problem-solving attitude and a drive for development; a people-oriented professional with a will to take lead on continuous improvements. You thrive in a feedback-friendly environment and know the importance of listening and learning from others as well as sharing your expertise with your colleagues. This is enabled by your ability to create relationships based on trust and respect, and your ability for clear and effective communication.
You have a degree within engineering, knowledge of CAD and an interest for programming. Skills in Java and Siemens NX CAD is an advantage, as is knowledge within machining, industrial economics or similar. Since we act in a global environment, you need fluent skills in both written and verbal English. Knowledge of Swedish is considered a plus.
