MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure safe, efficient, and accurate testing is performed.

  • Report any damage or shortage of parts/tools to the logistic department in order to request replacement part or order spares and/or consumables, tools etc.

  • Identify defective components or wire routing and record and report

  • Notifies supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment

  • Maintain required documentation and files

  • Communicate urgent issues to Leadership

  • Maintain focus on production goals during execution of inspections.

  • Report any damage or shortage of parts/tools to the logistic department in order to request replacement part or order spares and/or consumables, tools etc.

  • Supports key quality issues and continuous process improvement

  • Maintain required documentation and files

  • May have to perform inspection at the Customer/Supplier Site (Source Inspection). This person is expected to perform this duty according to Sandvik’s professional conduct

  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI)

  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted. Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position

  • Perform automated harness testing

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3+ years of harness assembly experience or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly builds that adhered to IPC standards

  • Electric or hybrid vehicle experience a plus

  • Proven ability to inspect and troubleshoot utilizing drawings and specifications

  • Proven ability reading and understanding wiring diagrams and other engineering documentation to identify components wire/signal types

  • Proficient use and familiarity with precision tools and instruments (Multimeters, torque wrenches, Calipers,)

  • Previous experience utilizing or programming automated harness test equipment a plus

  • Experience using EPICOR is a plus

  • Performance driving experience

  • Experienced performing detailed, and comprehensive procedures and providing improvements or suggestions

EDUCATION

  • Two-year certification from college or technical school; or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay Scale

Hourly Rate: $21.83 – $32.79
