Job Overview and Responsibilities

The person chosen for this role will drive quality excellence to the forefront of our manufacturing operations. This passionate leader will lead a team of quality professionals to ensure that our products deliver exceptional quality to our customers.

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining quality management systems including ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Directly manage QA and QC personnel, while working closely with other functions to manage compliance in all areas of responsibility.
  • Establish and maintain basis for quality control, quality standards, inspection and test methods for both internal and external processes.
  • Process Owner for accuracy and calibration procedures for measurement equipment including CMM, gauges, and any other measuring devices.
  • Ensure successful completion of Gauge R&R for new and existing production processes.
  • Drive the success of KPIs for Quality Performance.
  • Determine and recommend necessary inspection and test equipment required for incoming product, in process inspection, and inspection of finished products.
  • Owner of Fixture Management program.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and problem resolution for customer complaints and spotchecks.
  • Drive Quality continuous improvements and Zero Defects in processes.
  • Arrange and provide required training for employees in regard to Quality.
  • Lead the Production Unit’s Quality Plus transformation.
  • Organize and perform internal audits to Quality system compliance.
  • Share best practices and harmonization of processes with other Production Units globally.
  • Analyze and review capital equipment requests and process implementation or modification for quality compliance.
  • Perform other functions that may be assigned.

Your profile

  • Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license and the ability globally if needed.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ related experience with a focus on Quality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the areas of Science or Engineering or equivalent experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to subordinates, peers, and top management.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must possess high level of knowledge in SPC, ISO 9001, and auditing.
  • Must possess knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Total Quality Management principles
  • Must possess intermediate Microsoft Office 365 skills.
  • General personnel and development knowledge.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English and possess good communication skills.
  • Must be legal resident of United States
  • Proficient with reading and understanding blueprints.
