Sandvik Coromant's Operations function is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join us as a Global Change Leader. Joining us, you play a crucial part in our lean and digitalization journey as outlined in our Operations 2025 strategy. You also support the definition and implementation of the next stages of our Transformation 4.0 (T4.0) program, the Factory of the Future roadmap, and the roll-out of current lean and digital initiatives across all our production sites globally. About your job
As a Global Change Leader at Sandvik Coromant, you execute our T4.0 program vision and strategy, both in terms of Lean Production Systems and Digital Transformation. You ensure and take responsibility for value capture – securing that the program is on track to deliver the expected impact. You collaborate with our production units to identify, implement and evaluate cost-saving initiatives and oversee the portfolio of cost reduction initiatives. By implementing as well as refining lean manufacturing and cost optimization methods and processes, and provide training to local change leaders and plant employees, you help us reach set goals of becoming an even more profitable function!
Having a global responsibility for driving the lean evolution in our Operations function we need you to be based in Schmalkalden or Renningen in Germany, Gimo in Sweden, Westminster-SC or Mebane in the US or Katowice in Poland. Travel to other production sites within Coromant Supply is a natural part of this role; and both domestic and international travel is required
About you
We’re looking for someone with solid work experience, at least eight years, in Lean manufacturing – preferably in a global manufacturing environment – combined with strong indirect leadership abilities and experience from collaboration with stakeholders and a deep understanding of production systems and processes. Ideally, you have a proven track record of successfully implementing Lean transformation in operations and a passion for the field rooted in an in-depth comprehension of day-to-day shop-floor operations. In addition, we believe that you have a master´s degree in engineering or science, or the equivalent level of knowledge acquired through a professional career. Prior experience from tier-1 management consulting, with focus on operations and implementation is highly desirable, as is a Master Black Belt certification in Lean. Acting in a truly global organization, you need excellent English communication skills.
