We're now looking for a highly motivated professional to join us as Global Change Leader – someone who is both ready and eager to support our lean and digitalization journey included in our Supply 2025 strategy (Supply is Sandvik Coromant name for Operations). You will support the definition and execution of the next steps of our Transformation 4.0 program, the Factory of the Future roadmap and the implementation of current lean and digital initiatives across all our production sites worldwide. About the job

As Global Change Leader, you would be responsible for executing the vision and strategy with Sandvik Coromant’s Transformation 4.0 program – within both the Lean Production System and our Digital Transformation globally. We are looking for applicants with hands-on approach in a production environment, has worked closely with production and have solid understanding of production systems and processes with ability to provide solutions and build operational excellence. A solid experience and passion for lean transformation in operations (i.e., manufacturing, quality, maintenance, procurement, safety) and understanding of shop-floor daily operations is the key requisite.

Job Purpose: Develop and contribute to portfolio, program and project management to ensure that projects and/or programs are delivered according to defined scope, quality, time and cost management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop project-, program- and portfolio management.
  • Establish and develop methods and processes based on business needs.
  • Ensure project model alignment.
  • Training of project managers and steering groups in established way of working.
  • Manage and perform reviews of projects and programs.
  • Develop, establish and follow up of project/program controlling and project KPI's.
  • Ensure that portfolio, program and project management are performed in line with guidelines.

Key Competencies and Skills

  • Masters operational excellence; and lean principles, tools and methods including but not limited to Standardized work, SMED, Kanban/Pull Systems, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma Methodology, Value Stream Mapping, PDCA, Lean Leadership, Visual management, etc.
  • Ability to setup of our Lean Transformation toolbox and aid our sites in finding tools that suit their business needs.
  • Ability to adapt skills and knowledge into different areas within Sandvik Coromant Supply.
  • Trained eye to spot improvement opportunities and waste elimination through lean and where applicable, digital levers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and effectively present information to multiple stakeholders across hierarchies
  • Fluency in both written and verbal English. A second language between Hindi, German, Swedish and Chinese is a plus
  • Self-Starter, Energetic with strong ability to influence others.
  • Skilled communicator with an ability to collaborate and work with diverse teams and drive change.
  • Analytical and innovative mindset, driven by solution centric approach towards resolving problems
  • Achievement Oriented with structured skills to work things all the way through in a timely manner.

Education and Experience:

  • B.E, B.Tech or M.S. in Engineering or Sciences, or the equivalent knowledge gained from a working career.
  • Must have work experience in Lean Manufacturing for at least 6-8 years preferably global manufacturing/ process industry
  • Previous experience from management consulting in operations and implementation would be preferred

Additional Information:

In this position, you have a global responsibility for driving the lean evolution in Sandvik Coromant Supply Operations and this means that you’re preferably located in one of our manufacturing sites in Europe or Asia.
