Digital Transformation Professional
Being a leading supplier of equipment, tools, services, support and technical solutions for the mining industry requires commitment. At Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, we aim to develop solutions that provide our customers in every corner of the world with the best overall experience. This also applies to our people – the bearers of innovation and culture.
For the division Rock Tools, we're looking for a Digital Transformation Professional – a position where you’re the link between our global app users and developers, and actively work to ensure a smooth and user-friendly experience of our digital solutions. Within this, we offer you to advance in a truly inclusive, innovative and high-tech arena. Come join us and our world of opportunities!
Your work is essential for driving the digital agenda in our sales areas and backline functions and you help ensure that our sales areas have clear plans and expectations in place to drive a successful digital transformation. You take ownership of the processes we use when implementing our apps and how we analyze data and insights from our digital solutions. You regularly interact with our users to explore new ideas, understand their needs and turn them into digital feature requests for our development teams. You also lead and coordinate user acceptance testing of new features and apps and take ownership of some of the projects we need to run within this area. In addition to this, you regularly interact with our global app users and developers, and you coordinate our global first-line support by leading activities such as prioritizing issues and bugs and reporting back to users once they’re resolved.
Your role involves many different stakeholders, and you collaborate both internally and externally to drive best practices, share knowledge, and help us develop in the digital field – both from a data capturing and data analysis perspective. Other items on your agenda are creating communication and training material for new features and app updates, performing training to promote global user adoption, sharing global best practices, and performing ad hoc analytics support for our end users.
The position is based at our Rock Tools production site in Sandviken, Sweden, and some global travel is part of your job. To get a glimpse of the world you’ll be joining, take a look at this YouTube-video about our concept “You’ll never work alone”.
For this job, we naturally need someone with a general understanding of technology and digitalization. You have experience working with business improvements and analytics connected to digital solutions, and you know how to gather data and use your insights to form clear improvement plans. Ideally you have experience from project management, and preferably from leading smaller transformation or change projects in the digital arena or similar field. A relevant academic degree within a technical or business-related field is necessary and knowledge of data analytics software such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus. As we’re represented worldwide, you have both cultural awareness and excellent communication skills in English. Other language skills, for example Swedish and Spanish, is beneficial.
Your can-do attitude is very important to us! You have a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset and a massive portion of team spirit. New tech often raises lots of questions and a need to search for answers – you take your findings and make them logical for everyone. You’re comfortable to communicate with many different stakeholders on a regular basis, both to present new features, conduct pieces of training and present ideas for new apps and solutions etc. Supported by innovation and great collaboration, you look at things with fresh perspectives, put your ideas into actions, and you’re able to challenge conventional views on problem solving. You work in structured yet agile ways, and you take initiatives and multitask to keep momentum in our digital transformation journey.
