Product Specialist, Surface Drilling Division

At Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, we deliver pioneering products and solutions to our global customers within the mining and construction segment. Part of our exciting business is the Surface Drilling Division, where our intelligent surface drill rigs bring the latest technology to surface mining and construction applications – we’d like to call it true power with absolute precision!

We are now looking for an innovative and proactive Product Specialist for one-year temporary assignment in Tampere, Finland. This newly established position reports directly to VP R&D and Product Management, Surface Drilling.

Your role

As a Product Specialist, your main responsibility is to support the product management and sales support teams in tasks such as managing product & sales configuration, producing sales & marketing material and tracking product cost and profitability. You will also represent product management as a member in forums like Sales Area monthly reviews. You are capable in providing concise analysis using reporting tools such as PowerBI.

In this role, you will interact with a wide range of stakeholders from customers to supply and from sales & marketing to engineering. You’ll take ownership of supporting our product line’s business ambitions through developing some of the key processes and tools. One of the key priorities is maintaining product options in CRM system for our products manufactured in Tampere.

Your background and what we find important

We are looking for someone with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related field of study. You are interested in combining technical knowledge with business knowledge. Most importantly, you have the drive to continuously improve. You are a good team player and able to work in international multi-cultural environment. Fluent spoken and written English is expected.

Your skills and capabilities

  • Good documentation skills and the ability to provide clear reports

  • Good organizing skills and ability to manage deadlines

  • Willingness to learn

  • Understanding of mobile machinery, drill rig experience seen as a benefit
