To strengthen our Product Support for OptiMine®, leading digitalization product suites and offering for mining we are looking for a dynamic and an energetic Product Support Specialist.
The position can be based Phoenix, AZ, Camarillo, CA or Elko, NV and reports to the Business Line Manager Automation and Digitalization. Position to be filled when suitable candidate is selected.
Key performance areas:
In this role, you will be a member of Automation product support group supporting mining automation aftermarket business. You are responsible for product support for OptiMine® suite for mining. You will provide customers with technical support in all phases of OptiMine® analytics and process optimization life cycle where real-time information sharing and equipment data connectivity is paramount.
Your main focus is to provide remote assistance to your internal colleagues and customers. One of the essential part of the product support is to help OptiMine® Product Line receive customer feedback to improve OptiMine® product offering and competitiveness. We expect that you will perform your duties with a high degree of independence, initiative and judgment.
You will work in close collaboration with product line, product development, project office, automation technicians, field service personnel, training and product support. Succeeding in the job requires active communication between the key stakeholders worldwide.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Participate in and support new product and offering development projects.
- Support commissioning of OptiMine® systems in Americas.
- Lead and support full OptiMine® product offering and digitalization competence development and training activities in Americas.
- Own and ensure successful OptiMine® product offering customer virtual demonstrations.
- Participate in developing competitive product support to support automation business growth and life cycle-services.
- Participate in resolving technical enquiries, provide diagnostic and product application support to sales area teams.
- Work closely with our Parts&Service team to ensure Sandvik’s digital systems are providing value to the customers.
Work consists of wide range of daily support tasks for product support, product development testing, customer demonstrations, systems starts up, and trainings; special focus on ‘unit down’ situations.
You will need to be passionate to lead and to take a proactive approach in “getting things done” while maintaining good team collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
You will possess a suitable degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in technology or equivalent studies and have at least three years’ experience in working with software and software testing. Experience in developing or supporting web applications, SQL database solutions and IP networks are highly valued. You are capable of clearly expressing your ideas and have a strong interest in working with experts across cultural boundaries. International travel is part of in this role. Fluency in English as well as support attitude are prerequisites. Able to communicate in Spanish is considered as benefit. You are eager to learn and have a passion for working within the mining industry.
