Product & Industry Segment Manager, Sales Area Central Europe (m/f/d)

Location: Düsseldorf or Stuttgart Area

Within this role you lead the Product and Industry Segment Management team of the Sales Area Central Europe to contribute to product and application knowledge across our sales force. You collaborate with local and global functions to find solutions for both, short and long- term competitive advantage. Additionally, you enhance sales by the promotion of existing products and support the introduction of new solutions from a product line / industry segment perspective.

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall strategy development and execution for your department in line with the sales area business strategy.
  • Follow through to ensure outcome delivery of Product and Industry Segment Management mandate and activities to support Sales Area and customers
  • Enhance sales development by providing value such as knowledge sharing, product and application competency development, competitor analysis, analysis of product line performance and future trends to local and global organization
  • Support technical training needs of the sales force within Central Europe and actively support introduction management.
  • Act as the interface between the customers, sales and global product management/R&D in regard of product performance, development and innovations.
  • Proactively provide global functions with current and future customer needs and requirements to enhance product innovations and development.
  • Update global functions with current and future market needs and conditions and changing trends of industry segments in product requirements.
  • Liaise with relevant industry associations and participate in external discussions and forums related metal cutting and manufacturing

Your Profile

  • University degree within relevant field of engineering
  • Several years of experience working in either sales, product management or R&D
  • Excellent engineering cutting tools skills and knowledge; Experience in the field of Industry 4.0 is a plus
  • Strong senior managerial capabilities and people management experience is required
  • Proven records in managing multiple scopes/teams and develop synergies in cross border and cross product or industry segment
  • Knowledge and experience in managing external and internal customer relationships
  • Able to understand and work in a matrix organization set up with strong networking skills
  • Being fluent in English is a necessity, German language skills are beneficial
