Within our Parts & Services Division, we are responsible for the worldwide parts and services activities in Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology with sales over € 1 billion in the mining and construction industries, and our customer base ranges from large multinational companies to small and medium sized enterprises – consisting of both end-customers and dealerships. About the job
Your main responsibility is to provide commercial insights to the sales area teams in order to evaluate current and future business opportunities as well as drive commercial performance. By using and creating the right tools, systems and models you ensure effective analysis which can be used to improve the continuous follow-up of our results and the development of future way of working through the use of our sales processes.
In this position, you report to the Sales Operational Excellence & Insights Manager within the Sales Support & Development team and you will be based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
On a daily basis you
- Work with different data sources and translate large amounts of data into actionable insights for stakeholders at different levels of the organization
- Create PowerBI reports and data visualizations to enable KPI follow-up
- Provide support to the functions in the Commercial Excellence & Insights team with PowerBI dashboard development and maintenance
- Connect with key stakeholders to develop business understanding and promote fact-based opportunity identification
- Connect with the Business Intelligence Team to keep track on system enhancements having an impact on existing reports and dashboards
- Manage existing PowerBI reports and find ways to optimize design and performance
- Provide hands-on support to users worldwide on how to use the reports and how to analyze the data
- Prepare ad-hoc analyzes for VP Sales Support and Development
- Manage strategic projects within the Sales Operational Excellence team
You have an university degree with a commercial/business control orientation (or equivalent experience) and/or computer science field and have a strong systems application background. You have a proved record using PowerBI and you are a Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate. Experience with SQL is a plus.
You are comfortable working in a global setting and you are good in building effective relationships, with a highly developed multi-cultural understanding. Comprehending the needs of the business and analyzing high volumes of information quickly is second nature to you, and you thrive in a fast-paced technology and data driven environment.
You have strong verbal, written and presentation skills and the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience. You embrace process enhancements, initiatives for change and innovations and lead and implement projects/initiatives successfully throughout the organization with cross-functional teams, any 3rd party service providers and other relevant stakeholders in a timely matter and within its budget. As we operate in an international setting, you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
