The role

As an Operational Field Support - Relief, you will be required to perform all necessary daily activities that are associated with servicing of Sandvik rock tools supply contracts, including compliance with all relevant operating procedures and policies, work scopes and contract documents. This role is to cover training, leave and customer requirements and will involve frequent and ad-hoc travel across Western Australia to multiple sites and locations. The base location is flexible but must be located within reasonable distance to the airport. Locations can be Perth or Kalgoorlie (and surrounds).

Perform all the required duties to meet the Sandvik Scope of Works as outlined in the Position Description including: -

  • Training and Coaching
  • Inventory and Stock Control
  • Deliveries
  • Inspections Refurbishment Reclamation and Replacements
  • Administration
  • EHS Requirements
  • Stores and Workshop
  • Applications, Systems and Reporting

Your profile

You will have experience working underground alongside drilling equipment. You will have or be willing to obtain a Dangerous Goods Card, C Class Manual Licence, HRWL, National Police Clearance, Senior 1st Aid and other site-specific licences.

You will have minimum 1 years’ experience working with Top Hammer or similar products. You must have a strong safety commitment as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of on-site service contracts, underground mining, and familiarity with Sandvik drilling products would also be highly advantageous.

You will be highly flexible and willing to travel up to 75% of the time, including the ability to mobilise at short notice as required. Ordinarily this role is Mon-Fri, however, to meet customer requirements and coverage, rosters will vary frequently but normally 8/6 day shift only.
