Job Responsibilities include:

  • Complete operations by assigning and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operations problems, maintaining reference manuals, and implementing new procedures.
  • Coach the team to provide continuous workflow in a professional, team-oriented manner with emphasis on quality goods
  • Drive key performance indicators for efficiency, waste, labor costs, compliance to schedule and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure batch production records are reviewed on time and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure that housekeeping and room/equipment maintenance schedules are followed and documented
  • Ensure all inventory is properly stored
  • Cover team member during break times and assist in production operation.
  • Implements and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, minor electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, machines and facilities
  • Review the operation of plant equipment and systems, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems, and to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Performs emergency / unscheduled repairs of production and packaging equipment
  • Performs scheduled maintenance inspections and repairs of production and packaging equipment
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals, engineering drawings, work orders, and other information sources, to perform required maintenance and servicing
  • Responsible for preparing a preventative maintenance schedule
  • Responsible for knowing and following all Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, DSI, and Site Safety and Health rules including maintaining a safe-work environment by enforcing a strict standard of housekeeping in the immediate and surrounding work areas utilizing 5S principles.


  • Journeyman Industrial Mechanic-Millwright Certificate
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate
  • 2-3 years’ experience troubleshooting in an industrial environment
  • 3 - 5 years as a Supervisory and or Team Leader overseeing employees/Team Members in manufacturing environment is required.
  • Proven experience related to lean principles and practices
  • Previous related experience in a production or manufacturing facility
  • Familiarity with MSDS of the chemicals used in our processes
  • Solid hands–on experience in hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Familiarity with electrical, instrumentation and control systems
