Align Pune Inserts Customized Solutions in line with global strategy. Execute global and local initiatives in Pune Inserts to sustain and improve Pune Inserts Customized Solutions competence. Pune to be a preferred unit for complex, labor intensive products and price competitiveness. Excellence in deliverables like Quality, Speed and productivity.
Key Performance areas:
Work Area 1 (Weightage - 50%) Manager Customized Solutions.
Execute Global and Local initiatives within customized solutions in line with strategy. Ensure Customized Solutions deliverables like Delivery Precision, Quality , Lead times and ability to absorb new products and offer solutions for complex products. Recommend to AVP Production the necessary support structure in terms resources, technology, competence , skill required for successful functioning of the customized solutions and execute decisions time to time. To coordinate between different production departments , support functions to ensure delivery and achieve the KPI’s (DP and PUT) of the special inserts as per the agreed targets To conduct regular meeting with all stake holders and align and streamline the coordination process so that the specials KPI are met. To coordinate with the Global FiF team. To handle the customer requirements on delivery commitments and quality issues of Special /MTO orders.
Work Area 2 (Weightage - 25%) Methods.
To coordinate the Methods activity connected to Special Inserts and Press Data calculations. Allocation management i.e. streamlining/establishing all allocations from other PU’s, new allocations. Methods development for old & new products to reduce rejections & improve quality. Support to all production areas for all new product allocations or transfer from other PU’s. Methods Data development for Pressing. Driving development of new methods, tools and processes in own department as well as in overall Inserts by guiding them.
Work Area 3 (Weightage - 25%) Final Inspection Specials, Manual Grinding, Inward Inspection & Imported Blanks Control.
Final Inspection Specials - Inspection/Marking/Packing/Labelling/Kobe DN of Specials orders. Achieve the agreed targets of Specials orders delivery as per Forecast given. Focus to achieve Kobe DP results. To Achieve the agreed targets on Production, Quality, Productivity and Lead times (Throughput times) in Manual Grinding (Tool & Cutter) operations. Responsible of inward inspection of imported blanks & control and subcon inspection.
University degree in Engineering. 10-15 years relevant experience In-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in methods and basic and advanced (in some cases) knowledge of other departments. Basic & in-depth knowledge of Methods also knowledge of design procedures & requirements (wrt to production & customer), also in-depth knowledge of production procedures & requirements, Also in-depth knowledge of inspection procedures & requirements. Engineering background, Leadership skills and Communication skills. Quality & Customer focus Functional & Business knowledge. Familiarity with CNC operations. Ensuring adherence to Sandvik core values, Compliance, EHS & Safety. Analytical approach to learn & share. Effective Communication & Follow ups Teamwork Spirit Problem Solving Ability Coaching Ability.
