Gimo Inserts Production is Sandvik Coromant’s largest production unit for manufacturing of cemented carbide inserts for drilling, milling and turning of metal. Our ambition is to be recognized as the world’s best production plant. We are in an exciting development phase and are now looking for a Production Manager who wants to guide our world leading inserts operations into the future.

Key performance areas
As a Production Manager you will be responsible for production of inserts at the Gimo site, GH, and you are a part of the management team for Inserts production in GH. Within production you will have five department managers reporting directly to you and you are in total responsible for an organization of 600 employees; workers and staff.

You are responsible for an efficient and profitable production and actively cooperate with others. Your leadership brings clarity and you have strong capabilities in motivating and communicating with people, achieving and following up on the department’s goals. With your holistic view of the business, you successfully lead change management to develop production processes and make them more efficient. With your knowledge and commitment, you contribute to developing the business and our skilled workforce, as well as a good and safe working environment.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering. Alternatively, you may have acquired equivalent knowledge through solid and extensive work experience in production processes and quality assurance. Technical knowledge of cemented carbide inserts production is an advantage. The position requires at least five years’ experience from senior leadership positions in the manufacturing industry, including experience with leading managers. As we operate in a global environment, you need excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

You use your excellent interpersonal communication skills to build and maintain solid relationships and you have an ability to influence and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You are interested in working with production technology, analysis, problem solving and follow-up. Additionally, you have a good understanding of financial issues and the ability to come to decisions and deliver.
