Manufacturing Consultant based in Europe (m/f/d)

Seco Consultancy Services (SCS) is an independent global business unit at Seco Tools with the goal to advise and support machine shops in their manufacturing challenges of today. We implement change projects from operational excellence to digital solutions addressing all steps to reach your manufacturing targets.

The role as senior sales consultant covers all parts of the SCS offering including online and on-site activities. To make this happen the work scope includes intensive customer interaction to understand their challenges and address them to the right service solution within the SCS organization.

Your responsibilities:

As Manufacturing Consultant, you are part of a team working with a customer base in Europe to find improvements and develop their business in three main areas: selling/supporting senior management to sell, developing new methods and consultancy services and finally perform the consultancy at customer. You work with people from the shop floor up to top management in very diverse environments, analyzing the complete process from A-Z. Hand-in-hand with a Machining Process Advisor colleague, you spend several days at the customer’s side to analyze their production from both a machining and a production management and lean perspective. Together, you define and highlight their strengths and opportunities, analyzing the industrial and machining performance and applying our developed methodology.

Your profile:

You have a management consultant background, or you have been leading successfully operational excellence transformations in production facilities. You have a Master of Science in an industry-related field, for example industrial mechanical engineering, or a Msc in economics. Preferably you have been working machining environment. You have good knowledge of lean manufacturing, production management, finance for production and problem-solving techniques – and you know your way around Office 365. You have a strong interest in leadership and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, while additional knowledge of German, Italian or French is a plus.
