Sandvik Group Functions IT provides Sandvik’s various business areas with IT infrastructure, systems and business-critical solutions. Together, we manage several system deliveries and customer requests within IT, and we work closely with our customers to ensure satisfaction with our services. To raise the bar for the delivery related to our new ServiceNow platform, we’re now looking for an experienced Platform Architect. Someone who makes sure we’re providing the organization with the right services. As you might have guessed, this is an important role for the entire platform and a key role for Sandvik. For the right person, it’s an opportunity to truly influence our ways of working.
About the job
You’re the go-to-person in all matters connected to ServiceNow, and you provide us with expertise and guidance to make sure we have a fully evolved platform and that we use it in the best possible way. You set the strategy and take lead om the ongoing development of the platform as well as the services and modules connected to it. With the bigger picture in mind, you handle incidents, change requests, maintenance, operations, integration and new projects, and you assess the overall impact of possible actions and look for ways to improve or extend our investments. Always keeping an ear to ground, you get a true understanding of what is happening in this area, what releases are coming next and how will this affect our use of ServiceNow and the platform itself. Naturally, you collaborate with stakeholders across Sandvik to then turn ideas and plans into reality.
The location for this position is in either Sandviken or Kista, Stockholm.
Your background andcharacter
For this job, you need a high-level background in Platform Architecture, and based on your previous assignments working hands-on with ServiceNow, you’re well prepared for taking us to the next level in utilizing this platform. Implementation, maintenance and release management are parts of your experience that will bring true value, and it’s a big plus if you have acted in an international setup and in remote teams. Theoretical IT knowledge gained from a university degree is of course beneficial, but in the end it’s your experience from working with the platform that really matters. We require that you hold a relatively recent ServiceNow certificate, and as we’re a global player, you need excellent communication skills in English.
You’re the self-motivated team player who make things happen by pushing for deliveries and creating commitment in the organization. As you’re the go-to person in your area of expertise, you need to enjoy communicating with people regardless of cultural or professional background, and you’re very good at it, both verbally and in writing. You’re also great at time management and structuring your work – characteristics that enables control of deliveries and possibilities.
