We embarked a seven year global Business Transformation program enabled by SAP S/4HANA in January 2021. This is a greenfield implementation for Sandvik, a large Swedish multinational group. Ireland was chosen as the central hub location for this business digitalisation initiative which we call the “Seamless Flow Program”. A second phase of the Program is now starting, with ambition to extend the template to our Sales Units

We are now recruiting for a SAP Senior Developer (P4) (Hybrid) - for a permanent role in our Dublin Office.
The SAP Senior Developer position, will be part of Sandvik’s In-house expert team and supporting Integration and Development Lead to have oversight of build and maintenance of ABAP Developments in scope for SAP S/4 Hana implementation. Individual is responsible in maintaining the quality of S/4HANA solution across landscape, Review of the Technical design for WRICEFs by the Implementation Team and ensure best practices for development are followed and are aligned latest SAP recommendations for S/4HANA Implementations. Background and implementation experience of build and maintenance of WRICEFs with SAP S/4HANA ERP is key requirement for the role with excellent skills. This role will involve working with several 3rd part service providers throughout programme lifecycle and post go-live.
- Ensuring all development follows SAP best practice principles, delivery of SAP Developments managed by the IT Delivery organization and oversee program enhancements.
- Worked in the core areas Viz. Reports (including ALV), Interfaces (file based, IDOC, ALE etc.), Enhancements (User Exits, Customer Exits, BADI, Optional -BTE, enhancement Framework. etc.,), Forms (Smart forms, Adobe forms, Forms with Fragments etc.), Conversions (including BDC, BAPI, Optional -LSMW etc.)
- Working experience in S/4HANA with ABAP on HANA best practices/standards, Odata, CDS experience and exposure to UI5/Fiori.
- Review value of all development proposed to standard products by the design teams
- Review business process designs and functional specifications, and relay feedback to workstreams
- Other adhoc responsibilities as requested by management
- Technical experience on at least one implementation project
- Good understanding of the Functional Processes
- Experience with reviewing other’s developments from the coding perspective
- Experience of working in both small and large teams
- Good communication skills
Education & experience
- 7-10 years’ experience within a similar role
- Multinational environment experience
- SAP Development (ECC and S/4HANA)
- Cross-functional communication
Must be willing to travel globally when required
